The International Legal Partnership (ILP) is a non-profit student international legal assistance initiative based at Osgoode Hall Law School. ILPs mission is to provide global policy, legal regulatory and research assistance in developing countries (DCs). Our Council of Advisors is comprised of diverse, leading Canadian and international law experts. ILP organizes annual international opportunities for Osgoode law students to work with governments, non-governmental organizations and research clinics.

Come join us for lunch while past ILP fellows discuss their work during the summer of 2009 on projects with governments and non-government agencies throughout the global south and post-soviet states. Each week will focus around a particular theme, as follows:
March 3rd: HIV/AIDS, featuring speakers from the Human Rights Law Network in Delhi, India, and Zambia AIDS Law Research and Advocacy Network in Lusaka, Zambia
March 10th: Human Rights, featuring speakers from the Foundation for Human Rights in Kampala, Uganda; the Centre for Social Exclusion and Inclusive Policy in Bangalore, India; and the Asociación Civil por la Igualdad y la Justicia in Buenos Aries, Argentina.
March 17th: Legal Empowerment, featuring speakers from the Human Rights Law Network in Delhi, India, the Institute for Advanced Studies in Pristina, Kosovo; and the United Nations Development Program in Belgrade, Serbia.
The Salon Series will take place over the first three Wednesdays of March: the 3rd (Room 104), 10th (Room 201), and 17th (TBA), from 12:30pm to 2:30pm.
